Contract Term: Grade 7- Scale Points 12-17 (£14.82-£16.08)
Actual Salary: £20,999-£22,785
Starting date: 1st June 2026 / 2nd September 2026
The Kettlemere Centre is an Autism Resource Provision (ARP) for students with communications and interaction difficulties, attached to Lakelands Academy. This position involves working with students within the Kettlemere Centre and where appropriate supporting inclusion within the academy.
Successful applicants will have a particular interest in, experience of or hold qualifications relating to autism and will demonstrate an understanding of how autism can affect a student’s ability to access learning. Applicants will be skilled and experienced SEND classroom practitioners with good communication and literacy skills.
We are seeking applications from:
- Individuals who can demonstrate patience, tolerance and flexibility.
- Individuals who can plan, deliver and evaluate academic lessons and interventions.
- Individuals who have the skills and expertise to support students with Communication and Interaction difficulties, Autism and other Special Educational Needs.
- Individuals who can lead and develop less experienced colleagues, leading by example and sharing good practise.
- Individuals with specific training, qualification and experience in delivering interventions of a therapeutic nature.
- Individuals with pastoral experience.
- Individuals who will promote the safeguarding of children
