Finance Apprentice

To commence as soon as possible

Apprentice rate - National Minimum Wage - Currently £5.28 per hour

37 hours per week Full Time

Fixed term contract for the length of the apprenticeship initially - 21 Months.

The role involves:

  • Working with the Finance Team supporting the provision of an efficient and effective finance management system for the Academy.

Financial Duties and Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Handling cash and cheques, counting and accurately recording receipts, entering data onto the Academy finance system.
  • Processing invoices onto the FMS accounting database in accordance with academy policy and procedure.
  • Issuing remittances to all suppliers following the creation of BACs payment run
  • Booking in all new hirers and amending existing hirers bookings using the Bookings plus software.
  • Processing credit card orders and following procedures set out in the academy finance manual for processing invoices and updating capitation budgets.
