Geography

Geography is a highly successful subject at Lakelands Academy, consistently achieving some of the highest GCSE grades in the County.

"Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral arm of the Galaxy, lays a small un-regarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-eight million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet......"          Douglas Adams, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Our achievements are the result of clear aims and good teaching.

At Lakelands we aim to:

  • Foster a greater understanding of the world
  • Foster an appreciation, that human and physical processes interact to shape the world
  • Enhance the awareness of different cultures, values and attitudes
