The aim of the World Studies Faculty is to encourage an interest and awareness of the world, and the effect that people have on it and help students recognise their place in this multi-lingual, global society. It encompasses the subjects of French, Spanish, Geography, History and Religious Education.

Year 7 students are taught in mixed ability classes. Year 8 and 9 students are split into two bands. All students study French, Geography, History and Religious Education in Year 7 and then the addition of Spanish for some students in Years 8 and 9. Assessments for these years are achieved through a series of formal examinations, extended assignments and each students record of day-to-day performance.
In Years 10 and 11 most students continue to study French. All students also study Geography and/or History, Religious Education and Spanish are offered as options and are highly successful GCSE courses taught in mixed ability classes.
